Our Mission

The mission of the United Way of Russell and Washington Counties is to provide support and visibility through tools, partners, advocacy, and other resources that will enable both Russell and Washington Counties to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of their communities.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be the area's premier community-impact organization, serving as a resource and convener to help increase community capacity to meet community needs.

Some of Our Goals

• Improve education, and make sure that children enter kindergarden developmentally on track.
• Help people achieve financial stability, and help individuals retain employment and advance in their careers.
• Promote healthy lives, and increase the number of youth who are healthy and avoid risky behaviors.

Our goals are ambitious, but with your help, and by utilizing our core strengths - a national network, committed partners and public engagement capacity - we can achieve them.
